I recently fractured my wrist in January. I tried to claim my company insurance but it doesn’t cover my excess and the claim took more than 2 months before I knew it only covers up to $2k. However before I could submit a claim for the excess from Prudential, I was hit with dengue. Thankfully, Yen Yen (Gladyes) my Financial Consultant, applied for an extension for me. When I recovered from dengue, she guided me through how to submit the claim documents, including helping me submit the missing documents. After which, the claim was processed in weeks rather than months.
Also, I not only got my expenses covered/returned, I was also awarded the accidental disability for the add-on fracture care accelerated rider, which she has recommended me to purchase. The extra amount was a delightful surprise and has been a great help for my healing and recovery process.
I am thankful to Yen Yen for her advice. If she had never advised me to take on the accelerated rider for fracture care (as I am a cyclist), I would not have added it. This rider was added at one of the reviews that she has with me annually. I am very grateful for the annual review as she laid out all my policy coverage in a table, which helps me gain a good overview of all my premiums, payment due & its financial coverage. Having this list helps me realize if I am sufficiently covered or over-committed. Yen Yen’s advice is never pushy, very professional, and caring.

I always think investment should be done myself. In 2015, Gladyes introduced me CPF linked investment. I was initially skeptical with this plan because I felt it is not worth paying the service charges etc. After Gladyes explaining to me how she will help me monitor the fund performance, and my thought that rather than earning the fixed interest in my OA, why don’t I give her as well as myself a chance.
With Gladyes’s professional analysis, and her persistence to get me to review the funds regularly, I realized the return is indeed excellent, even just for the initial 2 years. I then decided to put in more. This investment proved to be a wise step when I made my condo purchase in March 2021. The high returns I gained through the funds enable me to keep more cash in both my CPF as well as investment account. This then removes the anxiety of having less “retirement money” after you make a property purchase. Needless to say, this will have a positive roll on effect on my savings.
Gladyes’s sensitivity to the market, the fund performance as well as her prudence in fund allocation made her a wise Financial Consultant.
